It has been an incredibly busy and blessed few months here in the spi·ti·kó kitchen since our last newsletter, and we have so much exciting news to share with you!

✨ A Beautiful Day at the Francophonie Market
First of all, a massive thank you to everyone who came to see us at the Francophonie market. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing, and it was so wonderful to share our heritage and connect with so many of you in person.

🍊 The Star of the Show
We also have to talk about the absolute star of the show lately: our Portokalopita! We have been so humbled by the response to this syrupy Greek orange cake. It has been flying off the table and selling out at every single market. If you haven't tried it yet, make sure to come early next time to grab a slice of the magic.

🍷 Expanding our Table
Speaking of our treats finding new homes, we are thrilled to announce that spi·ti·kó is now stocked at SOMM Village Deli in the beautiful Val de Vie Estate out in the Paarl Valley! It is such an honour to partner with them. If you have friends or family living on the estate, let them know they can now get their authentic Greek fix right on their doorstep.

🐣 Getting Ready for Easter
With Easter just around the corner, order your spi·ti·kó favourites to add authentic Greek flavour to your holiday table! You can collect directly from our home (Tokai) up until Friday, or from the Tokai Library market on Saturday. Be sure to get your orders in soon.

Our kitchen is transitioning into full holiday mode and we are excited to be making a limited amount of our traditional Tsoureki (Greek Easter bread). We will be hand-braiding beautiful loaves, infused with the rich, sweet scents of mahlepi and masticha.

🌷 Jules Garden Party Pop-up
Looking a little further ahead, we are so excited to be joining the Jules Garden Party pop-up! While the event begins on Friday, 24 April (9am to 6pm), spi·ti·kó will be there on Saturday, 25 April from 9am to 5pm. Come find us at 2 Rowan Ave in Kenilworth - think curated stalls, coffee, bubbles, gin and a relaxed day out. We would love to see you there!
